We live in a social world. Technically everything we create needs to be social - so people talk about it. When it comes to social media this is especially the case. A creative's role is to build content people feel the need to share.

Digital

If you’re not a digital creative, you’re not a creative. The reality is, everyone is digital. But the best approach is to be technology agnostic. Technology is merely a tool for powerful ideas. Whether it’s a website or a widget, if there's a problem there's the right digital solution.

Content

Content is not just about filling a space. It’s about connecting with people - it should not just inform and entertain, it must engage. Content needs to tell a story. It must take consumers on a journey, to build a brand they love for life.

Advertising

First a brand needs something to say. Then you need to say it differently. You need to develop powerful campaigns that run across a variety of traditional and non-traditional channels including new technology and social media that stop people in their tracks. That's how it'll get results. If it doesn’t, it’s not worth doing.

Sean Masters is an award winning Creative Director and founder of Masters Consultancy. As a creative consultant he works in many fields, across multiple brands. He's Vice President of the Surry Hills Business Chamber, screenwriter, sketch writer, director and as a commentator on advertising throughout the media. He has also recently written an obituary for his beloved dog Steve for the June edition of Doggie Rescue magazine.

Creative Director

I've been a Creative Director for over 20 years working on some of the world's biggest brands. I can creatively direct anything - a campaign, an ad, a human... I can also creatively direct a jacket / t-shirt combo with a manicured yet roguish stubble.

Head of Copy

I am a really, really, ridiculously good copywriter. I've written ads for everything from apples to ziplock bags, and I write words good. I'm the best copywriter you've never hired.

Creative Strategist

Strategists can focus too much on research. As a Creative Strategist I zero in on what ideas will resonate and build a brand. To do that you need a unique vision, which I witness through contemporary frames like these.

Head of Branding

I've built some of the world's biggest brands. It's all about creating a personality someone wants to spend time with. I think deeply about brands. Look how deeply I'm thinking now.

Head of Social

Social is about creating something people want to share. It might be fun, silly, kinda dorky, kinda cool, self-effacing, or ironic. And that's why I'm sporting this moustache which is all of that.

Head of Digital

It's important to understand the technology but it's more important to be the inspiration behind the technology. You need to connect with everyone from clients, to the marketing team, to the tech guys who drive the products. And that's why I quite often wear a hoodie.

Head of Communications

In order to establish and drive a multi-channel communications strategy that holds attention you often need to hold a pen. Tick.
